After ten years Sushico Chinese in Town has now opened its ninth restaurant, this time at the Mercure Accor Hotel in Girne, North Cyprus

In addition to the Cyprus restaurant, the other eight restaurants are to be found in Istanbul at Atasehir, Suadiye, Levent Iskule, Nisantasi, Kosuyolu, Kemerburgaz and Kanyon and in Ankara on Arjantin Caddesi. This year and next there are plans to expand in Bahcesehir, Atakoy, and Kavacik.

After North Cyprus, the company plans to expand soon to places in other countries such as Romania, Bulgaria, and Kazakhstan and increase its branches in Turkey as well.

Starting a sushi restaurant
The founders of Sushico Chinese in Town, Selim Yalin and Baran Dumanoglu got their start in 1997 as a packet service for Chinese food. One year later with its second branch in Suadiye it became possible to offer proper restaurant service and this was followed by branches in Levent and Nisantasi. They followed what was happening in the world in order to make changes and innovations so they began serving healthy and tasty sushi to the Turkish market in 2001. Younger customers order sushi a lot both in the restaurants and for home delivery.

The customers, the founders expect, are those who enjoy discovering new things and follow today's trends throughout the world whether they are students, housewives, businessmen or tourists to mention just a few. Today Sushico Chinese in Town is able to offer Japanese, Chinese and Thai cuisines. There is a different chef for each cuisine from the respective country; all the chefs are educated and they prepare the food very carefully.

From a central purchasing office, the company supplies all the restaurants with the same products. As well all of the percentages of the materials put in the dishes is controlled on a continuous basis. A food engineer checks for kitchen hygiene at every branch everyday.

Sushico Chinese in Town has continued to add restaurants and it set up a franchising system as well. The company's franchising office provides total support to its franchisers from securing personnel to interior decoration.

The good results have come from the great importance the restaurants give to customer relations. There is a survey form that they ask the people who come to fill out and by examining the suggestions and complaints, they are able to make changes if necessary.
